What is embodiment?

Embodiment is the awareness of physical sensation. It’s the willingness to feel. It’s being present. It’s making room to be a person. It’s the decision to recapture and direct your attention. When you are “in your body” (i.e. “embodied”), you are aware of what you are sensing, feeling, and experiencing, right now. Embodiment is a resource and a skill.

What are 1:1 sessions like?

We sit. We notice. We feel. We make room for the invisible work of becoming aware. We normalize spaciousness. We deepen capacity. We spark curiosity. We listen.

I’ll invite you to notice the places in your body where you grip, brace, clench, and grasp. I’ll ask you to gently relax your shoulders, jaw, hands, and feet. Every body is different. We will move through a simple, gentle, guided process in real time. This is:

  • A 30-minute embodiment practice

  • A place to practice feeling, sensing, and noticing

  • An opportunity for connection and awareness

We’ll also spend a bit of time talking about what you’re experiencing and noticing.

Our sessions are virtual. You will receive a meeting link when you book your appointment.

My practice has changed.

Since 2022, I’ve offered coaching inspired by my book, Trust Yourself with Money. I’ve helped my clients relate to their financial circumstances and decision-making with honesty, compassion, and awareness. We’ve done the scary work of adding up numbers—“What is my monthly budget? How much do I actually owe?”—and facing fears. Somatic work was woven into my approach. I was not a financial planner or a financial advisor: I called myself a somatic money coach to capture the breadth and depth of our work. (Visit my testimonials page.) Today, the embodiment practices that supported that work are front and center. I’m offering one-on-one sessions with a new focus.
