I’m a writer, designer, and storyteller with 30 years of experience.

With each project, my goal is to distill information, spark emotion, and create connection.

Harriet Tubman Cultural Center Museum Design

This two-year project resulted in a beautiful museum space at a newly renovated cultural center. I was responsible for designing the three-room museum, as well as writing original content and editing language from the project’s lead historian. I generated content and designed displays for the main hallways of the building as well.

I tell the story of this project in my blog post, Celebrate Your Selves. Pictures are included.

My designs are also featured in this Baltimore Sun article:

ECS Science Content

I worked for a technology company (ECS) that had a contract with the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA). I wrote a series of articles about the company's science-related projects. I enjoyed interviewing the scientists, learning about their work, and translating the information for a general audience.

Bard Academy (Bard College at Simon’s Rock)

I was on the marketing team at Bard College at Simon’s Rock in Great Barrington, Massachusetts. (The college closed last year.) While there, the college launched Bard Academy, a program for ninth- and tenth-graders who would go on to start college early. I designed the viewbook for Bard Academy. I also wrote the opening content for the book, and directed the photography. The cover design featured an element of the school’s logo. Please find sample spreads below.
